On July 26, the draft law no. AC 3564 on the sharing economy, presented on 27 January 2016, was the subject of the hearing of the Italian Revenue Office Director before the Transport and Industry Commissions. The discussion highlighted the relevance of the sharing economy, whose spread and potentiality is increased and fostered by technology and social networks. Therefore, it is necessary, both at an EU and domestic level, to regulate this new economic model – which has become common particularly in the crowdfunding, transport, consumer product trade and tourism sectors – on various aspects, related not only to competition.
