Incoming weeks full of events for Grant Thornton in Italy

A series of events and initiatives involving the Grant Thornton brand is going to take place in the next weeks.

Such events and initiatives are aimed, on the one hand, at discussing important news and topics for economic operators, also in the light of recent domestic and international legislative developments and, on the other hand, at promoting the expertise developed by our professionals within tax & legal, audit and advisory consulting services.

The first event on the agenda is “Brexit: una sfida, un'opportunità” (Brexit: a challenge, an opportunity), which will be held in Rome on 16 March 2017 and is organized in collaboration with Unindustria – an Association belonging to the Confindustria system of Rome, Frosinone, Latina, Rieti and Viterbo.

On this occasion, tax issues (as regards both direct taxes and VAT) related to the ticklish exit of the United Kingdom from the European Union will be discussed.

The second scheduled event is STAR Conference 2017, which will take place at the Milan Stock Exchange on 21 and 22 March.

Grant Thornton will participate in the two-day event, as usual, with a stand and will take part in one-to-one meetings and plenary presentations with companies listed on the STAR market segment and the financial community.

March will end with a conference discussing the opportunities and risks for multinational companies, held on 29 March in collaboration with Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.

Many are the issues on the agenda, mainly related to international taxation: from transfer pricing to BEPS, to patent box, to cooperative compliance, to rulings for new investment and agreement procedures to solve cases of double taxation.

Representatives of the Italian Revenue Office, of OECD and of the European Commission will also participate in the conference.

On 4 April 2017, a round table will take place at the auditorium of Accademia della Guardia di Finanza (Academy of Italian tax police) in Castelporziano (Rome) concerning tax and accounting assessments in case of digital administration.

Lastly, we are anticipating that from now on, Grant Thornton will sponsor Festival dell’Economia di Trento –  festival of economics (1 to 4 June 2017).

We therefore invite you to follow the events above and the other ones that will be added on our institutional channels (website and LinkedIn page), both before the initiatives themselves, to be informed on the scheduled events and their agendas, and during their follow-up.
