Sante Maiolica, partner and CEO of Grant Thornton Financial Advisory Services, contributed to the drafting of the Golden Book of Advisor Private, a yearbook containing an overview of the events, brands and professionals that played a significant role in the private banking industry in 2020. To date Private Equity funds have companies in their portfolios for a value of approx. US$ 5.7 trillion. More than 95% of this value is concentrated in 20 main industries, among which are:
- public services (including, for example, transports, parking and fairs)
- hotels & travels
- ho.re.ca. related
- oil related
Though not in a prevalent way, Private Equity funds were significantly impacted by the pandemic and it is now reasonable to expect that one of the main questions they are asking themselves regards the structural effects that the pandemic will have in the immediate future.
