Agrimola, subsidiary of Fondo Agroalimentare Italiano and a European leader in the production, processing and marketing of chestnuts and processed fruit in general, acquired the majority shareholding in La Nuova Tradizione S.r.l., a manufacturer of semi-finished and finished products for ice creams and confectionery.
Grant Thornton Financial Advisory Services assisted the buyer with a team made up of Stefano Marchetti, Martina Cellana and Eleonora Bonomini as concerns the financial-area activities, and of Gianni Bitetti and Mattia Tencalla as concerns the tax-area activities.
Through this acquisition, Agrimola assumes a key role in the consolidation of the Italian sector of natural fruit ingredients. The combination of both companies will strengthen the supply chain of fruit for confectioners and ice cream producers. Besides the obtainment of synergies in terms of fruit and ingredients for ice creams and confectionery, new products will also be developed.
