Gabriele Labombarda, Partner of Bernoni Grant Thornton and International Business Centre Director for Italy has been appointed as a member of the Grant Thornton global IBC Steering Committee.
IBCDs - i.e. International Business Centre Directors - are key figures within Grant Thornton. Working in synergy, the current 23 IBCDs located in the world’s key economies facilitate and promote international commercial relationship operating as reference hubs for both clients and member firms in more than 140 countries.
As a new member of the IBC Steering Committee, Gabriele Labombarda will contribute to coordinating and defining the objectives of the global network of IBCDs, monitoring progresses made in the short and long term. Among the Committee’s latest activities are, in particular, the control and regulation of cross-border assignments, the definition of initiatives to help the brand grow, the development and enhancement of the IT tools used in the network and the improvement of communication among the various member firms globally.
Graduated in Business Economics at Bocconi University in Milan, Gabriele joined the Italian firm in 1999. He was appointed partner in 2006 and currently leads the Business Process Solutions and Global Mobility Services practices; in 2015 he was IBC Director for Italy. His areas of expertise include: international and domestic direct and indirect taxation, assistance with organic and external growth through restructuring and M&A, tax due diligence, global mobility & expat services, family office and assistance to artists and sportsmen, outsourcing.
