Milan, 4 September 2019 – Registrations for the third edition of the “Open Innovative PMI” award are now available. This is the first Italian award, entirely dedicated to Innovative SMEs, conceived and promoted by Grant Thornton, the Italian member firm of Grant Thornton International Ltd, a global Audit, Tax and Advisory consultancy network operating in 140 countries with 53,000 people for over 100 years.
The award is aimed at monitoring, promoting and fostering the best Italian innovation, by giving greater visibility to businesses with a high potential to grow, and promoting SMEs as a specific business type as well as the benefits dedicated to them.
All businesses recorded within the dedicated register for Innovative SMEs held at the Italian Chamber of Commerce can submit their free application. SMEs undergoing the registration process can also apply, provided that they will meet all the requirements requested by the Law to be considered Innovative as at 22 October 2019.
The award comprises three categories: Research and Technology, dedicated to all innovative SMEs whose economic and/or operating component is mainly depending on R&D and/or technology applications. Business women, dedicated to Innovative SMEs whose business and/or managerial team comprises a consistent women presence; S.p.A. – joint stock companies, dedicated to Innovative SMES whose legal form is that of a “Società per Azioni” (i.e. an Italian-law company limited by shares).
Applications will be examined by an independent Jury, made up of representatives of the Italian academic world and business community, which will select the finalist companies.
The winner of each category will receive from Grant Thornton services for the value of ten thousand Euros to be used within one year.
