Because adopting sustainable policies is good not just for the environment
The ninth edition of the Good Energy Award gets underway. The award is organised and promoted by Bernoni Grant Thornton and is aimed at awarding domestic businesses that implemented innovative projects aimed at safeguarding the environment, at increasing value for the stakeholders and at improving their economic and financial performances.

The initiative is directed to:
- businesses and organisations implementing evident projects, policies and investment aimed at environmental sustainability and, in general, at a significant save in the consumption of energy of any kind necessary to the business activity and to the related increase in margins and/or economic results
- businesses standing out for their improvements in products performance (mainly in terms of energy efficiency and lower environmental impact) and in the environmental impact of their processes (in terms of energy, emissions and waste)
- businesses standing out for their continuous pursuit of environmental sustainability in all their business processes and not only to their internal production activity
- businesses standing out for the research and development of innovative solutions for the pursue of energy saving and environmental sustainability
Selection criteria:
The criteria which will be considered by the jury panel will be the following:
- industry leadership
- focus on technological innovation
- efforts aimed at promoting environmental quality and energy efficiency
- valorisation of territorial resources
- reengineering of corporate processes favouring a sustainable development
- empowerment of young people and women within management
- percentage of investment in R&D activities in innovation against turnover
- business results: economic and financial performances
