Newsletter and Events

The companies of Bernoni Grant Thornton, in their capacity as Joint Controllers, carry out data processing activities for the purpose of sending newsletters and information related to events (whether physical or webinars).

The processed data concerns personal data and contact information, and the data subjects are the following:

  • A client of one of the Bernoni Grant Thornton companies within the framework of consulting services provided under the execution of an existing contract;
  • A contact of a partner, employee, or collaborator of Bernoni Grant Thornton who has informed you of the regulatory update services offered by the firm;
  • A user of the Bernoni Grant Thornton website who, by registering through the newsletter form available on the webpage, requests to receive it.

The purpose of the processing concerning the newsletter is to send updates and information regarding news and developments on legal, tax, administrative, management, and compliance topics. The processing is carried out pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1, letter a) of the GDPR, thus based on the acquisition of the data subject’s consent, which can be revoked at any time. Providing your data for this purpose is optional, and in the absence of specific consent, you will not be included in the distribution list and will not receive informational materials regarding events and newsletters. The data will be stored until an explicit request for removal from the distribution list is made.

Regarding events organized by Bernoni Grant Thornton, the purposes of the processing are as follows:

  • finalizing the registration to the event as well as the possibility to provide you with all related information, even after the event, and to invite you to future editions of the same event. The processing is carried out pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1, letter b) of the GDPR, namely for the execution of pre-contractual measures and activities connected and instrumental to the management of the event organized by the Controller. The data will be retained for the time necessary to complete the activities related to the event's management;
  • publication of general images and videos of the event, which may include panoramas of the audience, for informational and possibly promotional purposes related to events organized by Bernoni Grant Thornton. The processing is carried out pursuant to Law No. 633 of April 22, 1941. Images of the public event, where you might be accidentally captured, may be published even without your consent pursuant to Article 97 of Law 633/1941. Images where you are specifically portrayed will instead be published only with your consent and specific authorization (Release Form and Authorization for the Publication of Photos and Videos). This processing is carried out pursuant to Article 6, paragraph 1, letter a) of the GDPR. The data will be retained for the time deemed necessary to carry out the communication campaigns by the Controller, unless revoked in writing by the data subject, who can exercise this right by writing to the attention of the Data Protection Officer at the email address dataprotection@bgt.it.gt.com.

The data may also be disclosed to data processors engaged by Bernoni Grant Thornton within outsourcing relationships, as well as to individuals authorized to process personal data under the direct authority of the controller or processor, for the purposes indicated in this notice.

Without prejudice to communications carried out in compliance with legal obligations (e.g., supervisory and control authorities and any public entity entitled to request data), the data will not otherwise be communicated or disseminated. The processing is not subject to automated decision-making processes, including profiling.

The processing of data will be carried out exclusively in a Member State of the European Union (EU) or in a Member State of the European Economic Area (EEA).

The purposes are as follows:

  • Participation in surveys: subject to your specific consent, we may process your personal and contact data for the purpose of registering and participating in surveys conducted by Bernoni Grant Thornton. The legal basis for this processing is the data subject’s consent given for participation in the specific survey.
