Experience
Katia joined Bernoni Grant Thornton in March 2025 as Chief Financial Officer.
She has over 20 years of experience in accounting, financial planning and management control in national and international contexts, holding positions of increasing responsibility within companies operating in the technology, digital entertainment, hospitality and expert services sectors.
During her career, she has gained expertise in the management of administrative, financial and management control departments, dealing with all activities related to accounting management, financial planning, tax management and tax compliance. She has also participated in and coordinated numerous major projects, including M&A transactions, implementation of ERP and business intelligence systems, re-engineering of financial and administrative processes, and digitisation projects.
Katia held the position of CFO at Optoprim, an international group and leading distributor of laser, optical, and photonic solutions for high-tech industrial, scientific, and medical applications. She led the administrative, financial, and management control departments, overseeing strategic planning and accounting supervision, managing relations with external stakeholders, and coordinating digital transformation projects.
Among her most relevant experiences, there is the one at Chili S.p.A., a company operating in the digital entertainment sector at European level, where she was in charge of the administrative and accounting supervision, of the management of domestic and international financial statements, and of strategic projects for the growth and digital evolution of the business.
Her key areas of expertise and specialization include:
- financial planning and cost control;
- accounting management and budgeting processes;
- tax management and tax compliance;
- implementation of ERP and business intelligence systems;
- re-engineering of financial and administrative processes;
- project management and management of M&A transactions.
She also coordinated strategic projects within company acquisitions, due diligence, and digitization of accounting processes, standing out for her assertive leadership and her ability to lead complex teams in a business transformation context.
Education
Katia graduated in business economics – specialization in banking and finance – from the University of Genoa.
