Giuseppe Bernoni took part in the 28th edition of the Finance Workshop, the “spring” workshop of The European House – Ambrosetti, which focused this year on “The outlook for the Economy and Finance”, second in importance only to the Villa d’Este forum, with which it shares the exclusive location.

The workshop took part over two days and included speeches held by leading Italian and international speakers, among which Mario Monti, Enrico Letta, Enrico Morando (Italian vice Minister of Economy and Finance).

Among the attendees were top managers and CFOs of the major Italian groups.

The main topics examined during the workshop include:

  • the World Economy: for how long in the new mediocre?
  • strategies for investing in a post-Brexit and “Trump(ed)” world
  • what are the most promising emerging markets?
  • capital markets and European Banking Unions
  • the Agenda for Europe: the competitiveness of Europe vs the US; focus on Brexit; the future of the Euro and of the economic governance of Europe
  • the Agenda for Italy

A round table by the Cashless Society community on “Cashless revolution: progress report and the agenda for Italy” and a cocktail/meeting with Yves Perrier (Chief Executive Officer AMUNDI and Chairman of AFG - Association Francaise de Gestion Financiere) focusing on "The role of Asset Management in the challenge of European growth” preceded the event.
